The Classic Touch base and mattress is designed with simplicity, comfort, and great value in mind. Perfect for anyone seeking quality sleep on a budget, this mattress combines traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort to give you the restful night’s sleep you deserve. At the heart of the Classic Touch is a 13-gauge Bonnell spring unit, featuring hourglass-shaped open springs that flex and respond to your body, ensuring even support across the entire surface. These springs are encased in layers of foam and polyester fillings, which not only add extra comfort but also help the mattress maintain its shape for longer-lasting use. To enhance your sleeping experience, the mattress is finished with a soft knitted damask fabric cover, adding a touch of understated luxury. The breathable fabric works with the fillings to keep the sleeping surface fresh and comfortable throughout the night. With its gentle, softer feel, the Classic Touch is ideal for those who prefer a more cushioned sleeping surface without sacrificing support. It strikes the perfect balance between softness and stability, making it a versatile option for a wide range of sleepers.

Some of the qualities of the mattress are as followed:
• Open Coil/Bonnell Spring: An open coil mattress has a spring support system of hundreds of interconnected springs joined together to make a spring bed. The interconnected springs perform as a single system, rather than each spring operating independently like with pocket springs. They have a more traditional feel than a pocket sprung mattress and can have a firmer feel for those who prefer it. Whilst not as supportive as pocket springs, open coil mattresses provide the same comfort level and are more common within standard mattresses.
• Foam Fillings: Foam Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Foam encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Foam tends to be quite breathable as well, keeping your bed feeling fresher for longer.
• Damask Fabric: This is a woven fabric that will be on the majority of mattresses. It has become generally termed ‘Belgian damask’, even though many of the damask fabrics described are made outside of Belgium. Damask is soft to the touch, breathable and is flexible for the sleeper, meaning the upholstery fibres underneath can do their job and you get the highest level of comfort.
• Micro-Quilted: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Edge-to-Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.

FOUR DRAWER DIVAN
This mattress and base bed set comes as a standard divan bed. The base is constructed from solid and sturdy materials for a reliable and durable performance throughout the year, sitting upon chrome gliders to provide easy movement across the floor when required whilst minimizing damage done to the floor. This base comes with four drawers for extra storage, positioned two on each side one at the top and one at the bottom of the base. This option has four drawers but you can find a non-drawer and two drawer option elsewhere on our website.
