Regency repose mattress has a orthopaedic medium gauge spring system with a 6 gauge frame. With hypo-allergenic fillings covered in a luxury soft damask fabric with a stitched boarder, it aims to give you a comfortable night's sleep, protected from dust mites or allergens. This mattress is ideal for those to prefer a medium tension in their mattress and it is NON-TURNING, so we recommend you rotate your mattress regularly.

Some of the qualities of this mattress include:
• Open Coil: An open coil mattress has a spring support system of hundreds of interconnected springs joined together to make a spring bed. The interconnected springs perform as a single system, rather than each spring operating independently like with pocket springs. They have a more traditional feel than a pocket sprung mattress and can have a firmer feel for those who prefer it. Whilst not as supportive as pocket springs, open coil mattresses provide the same comfort level and are more common within standard mattresses.
• Hypo-Allergenic Fillings: Hypo-Allergenic mattresses tend to be filled with natural fillings, which help to fight against dust-mites, allergens and more. They can help dispel any allergy flare-ups throughout the night and tend to be mostly chemical free. Additionally, they can provide a more breathable sleeping surface, helping to keep your mattress feeling fresher for longer. (NB: not all hypo-allergenic mattresses are chemical free).
• Micro-Quilted: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Damask Fabric: This is a woven fabric that will be on the majority of mattresses. It has become generally termed ‘Belgian damask’, even though many of the damask fabrics described are made outside of Belgium. Damask is soft to the touch, breathable and is flexible for the sleeper, meaning the upholstery fibres underneath can do their job and you get the highest level of comfort.
• Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.
