The Teagan Mattress includes a 13.5g bonnell coil spring unit that will provide responsive comfort and support, as well as giving it a classic feel and a slight extra firmness whilst still maintaining a soft level of comfort. In addition, it also comes with a 25mm layer of memory foam, designed to contour to your unique body shape and posture for personalized support. Surrounding the bonnell spring unit is layers of polyester fillings and insulator pads, which provide added comfort as well as allowing for airflow throughout the mattress, which helps it to feel fresher for longer. The Teagan mattress has been wrapped in soft and breathable damask fabric, with a micro-quilted top for an even, smooth sleeping surface. It's been made with traditional hand-stitched borders, which improves the edge-to-edge support provided in the mattress, helping to keep the mattress in it's original shape.

Some of the qualities of this mattress include:
• Bonnell Springs: An open coil or bonnell sprung mattress has a spring support system of hundreds of interconnected springs joined together to make a spring bed. The interconnected springs perform as a single system, rather than each spring operating independently like with pocket springs. They have a more traditional feel than a pocket sprung mattress and can have a firmer feel for those who prefer it. Whilst not as supportive as pocket springs, open coil mattresses provide the same comfort level and are more common within standard mattresses.
• Memory Foam: Memory Foam is a type of foam that springs back to its original shape – even after long periods of use. Memory foam moulds to the natural counters of your body and provides excellent zonal support and pressure point relief. It can help with blood circulation throughout the night, allowing you to achieve a deeper and more restful sleep.
• Foam Fillings: Foam Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Foam encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Foam tends to be quite breathable as well, keeping your bed feeling fresher for longer.
• Soft Knit Fabric: The fabric that wraps around the mattress can be just as important as the fillings. This mattress has been wrapped in luxuriously soft fabric that enhances the comfort of the mattress. Fabric around mattresses tends to be breathable and helps to keep your mattress feeling fresh and provides a more comfortable sleeping space during the night. It’s also incredibly hard-wearing and can provide that “new” look for longer.
• Micro-Quilted Top: Micro-Quilted mattresses provide a sleeping surface with a much smoother and even finish. This is possible because the mattress either doesn’t require tufts or its design allows the tufts to be hidden. Quilted mattresses are no problem for open coil spring systems as the tufts aren’t needed due to the spring system being one complete unit.
• Edge-to-Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.
