Zip and link beds are two beds which can remain separated or be attached together to form a larger bed (lengths may vary, contact us for details). Zip and link beds are attached by the base with secure metal/brass links and the mattresses are fastened together using a robust zipped seam. The zippers are situated on the sides at both the top and bottom of the mattress, but is under the seam on the edge of the mattress. When zipped together the seams fold over the zipper.

• Pocket Springs: This mattress contains pocket springs. Pocket springs are individually wrapped springs that move together independently of each other, yielding to where pressure is most exerted and isolating movement, which differs from traditional open coil mattresses. Pocket springs are particularly great for providing pressure point relief as you sleep, dispelling any discomfort throughout the night and allowing for a deeper and more restful sleep. Additionally, they provide excellent support – ideal for those who require extra spinal support during the night.
• Polyester Fillings: Polyester Fillings are common in many mattresses. Foam provides the firmness a mattress requires, providing the traditional feel. It enhances the comfort of the mattress and provides support. Polyester Fillings encases spring fillings to prevent any springs from providing discomfort throughout the night. Polyester tends to be quite breathable as well, keeping your bed feeling fresher for longer.
• Memory Foam: Memory Foam is a type of foam that springs back to its original shape – even after long periods of use. Memory foam moulds to the natural counters of your body and provides excellent zonal support and pressure point relief. It can help with blood circulation throughout the night, allowing you to achieve a deeper and more restful sleep.
• Soft Touch Fabric: The fabric that wraps around the mattress can be just as important as the fillings. This mattress has been wrapped in luxuriously soft fabric that enhances the comfort of the mattress. Fabric around mattresses tends to be breathable and helps to keep your mattress feeling fresh and provides a more comfortable sleeping space during the night. It’s also incredibly hard-wearing and can provide that “new” look for longer.
• Hand Tufted: A hand-tufted mattress can provide a firmer feel than a traditional quilted mattress. Tufts are often used to help keep mattress fillings together, helping to keep your mattress shape for longer and are particularly useful in pocket sprung mattresses. Better quality tufts actually have their hard plastic ends very well protected by felt or wool pompoms, meaning that the most people won’t be able to feel their presence.
• Edge-to-Edge Support: Edge support is the amount of resistance a mattress provides around the edges. More edge support means less sagging and falling towards the edge. Edge support provides stable support to sit on the side of the bed, which is important for those with hip or joint pain or have a hard time getting up from a low position. Edge support is most common in mattresses that have coils with side support systems or foam mattresses that have extra foam structure on the sides.

DIVAN BASE
This bed comes as a standard divan bed. The base has been constructed from solid and strong materials and timber for a robust and sturdy structure that adds reliability and durability, with chrome gliders that are great for protecting your wooden flooring from scratches or damage. The base has been upholstered in high quality grey fabric that keeps the divan base looking fresh and new for longer, creating a smart and modern look to your bed that will create a timeless staple. A headboard is NOT included in the price. However, you can add the matching headboard using the options above or alternatively find a range of other headboard options in our headboard section.
This divan base is delivered in two halves. The base comes with the options of NO DRAWERS, TWO DRAWERS or FOUR DRAWERS. The model with 2 drawers, the drawers will be positioned one on each side at the bottom side of the base. The model with 4 drawers, the drawers will be positioned two on each side, one at the bottom and one at the top side of the base.
